Voyacover · Voya

One voice, answering every applicant, day and night.

Voya is the AI voice concierge behind Voyacover. The same technology, retrained on your admissions workflows: application status, deadlines, and visit scheduling, in the caller's language, around the clock.

01

The deadline problem

Your busiest season is also your quietest line.

The weeks before Regular Decision, an applicant's parent calls after your office has closed, an international family calls from a time zone eight hours off your hours, a transfer student can't tell if a document actually made it in. Your staff is buried reading files during exactly the stretch when call and email volume peaks. The calls that go unanswered are often the ones from students who need the most reassurance to actually enroll.

Hiring seasonal call staff is expensive and slow to train on your specific requirements and deadlines, and still can't cover every language your applicant pool speaks.

Meet Voya

One voice runs the whole front line.

Voya answers the calls your office can't staff around the clock, in the caller's own language, and hands off anything sensitive to your counselors.

Status & requirements

"Did you receive my transcript?" "What's still missing from my file?" answered instantly from your systems, not a generic FAQ script.

Deadlines & requirements

Application deadlines and document checklists, answered from your actual requirements, escalated when it gets specific.

Visits & warm transfer

Schedules campus visits and interviews, and transfers real edge cases, appeals, and upset callers straight to your staff.

Say the word "nyu" · Voya switches into the admissions coordinator live
She already knows this cycle's Fall term facts:
Early Decision I, II, and Regular Decision, both ED rounds binding Most recent deadlines: ED I Nov 1, ED II Jan 1, Regular Decision Jan 5 Test-optional this cycle; one test type considered if you submit scores Common App or Coalition App, $85 fee, one recommendation letter, STARS after submitting No rolling admissions, everything reviewed after the deadline
Worth knowing: this number is Voyacover's shared demo line, say "voyager" and you get the travel-insurance persona instead. The Fall term facts above came from NYU's own public admissions pages, not a live feed into any real system, so the exact day-of-month on deadlines is worth a quick double-check against nyu.edu before you rely on it in a real meeting. Nothing about a specific applicant's file is ever invented, she'll take a callback for that instead.

The pilot

Live behind one line in two weeks.

A 30-day pilot on one call type. No rip-and-replace: Voya augments your staff, and your team watches every call.

01

Pick one line

After-hours FAQ, application status, or the international line. Start where the volume hurts most.

02

We train Voya

On your deadlines, requirements, aid policies, and tone, in every language your applicants speak.

03

She goes live

Behind your number, taking real calls. Every one recorded, transcribed, and scored.

04

You see the numbers

Containment and CSAT after 30 days. Keep her, expand her, or walk. Your call.

04

Why this fits NYU

Built for exactly this kind of front line.

Global applicant pool

Native voices across languages, not a robotic translation layer, for a student body and family base spread across time zones.

Peak-season proof

Purpose-built for the exact problem of call volume spiking right when staff bandwidth is lowest.

Compliance-minded

Designed around a FERPA school-official arrangement, with NYU keeping contractual control of any application data, and a full recorded audit trail on every call.

Augments, doesn't replace

Handles overflow and after-hours, warm-transfers anything sensitive. Your staff stays in control of every decision.

05

Data & compliance

Scoped deliberately, not an afterthought.

This proposal is inbound-only: applicants and families call in, Voya never initiates contact. That keeps the scope tight, and here's exactly what we'd have in place before any pilot goes live.

FERPA

A signed school-official agreement giving NYU legitimate-interest control, no re-disclosure, and defined data-destruction terms for any application-related data discussed on a call.

Call disclosure

An on-call notice that the line is recorded and AI-assisted, before any conversation starts, matching Florida's all-party consent rule.

Retention

A defined retention window (for example, 90 days) with automatic deletion after, not indefinite storage.

If we ever add outbound

This proposal stays inbound-only. Proactive recruiting calls or texts would separately trigger TCPA prior-express-consent rules for AI-assisted contact to a cell phone, so that's a deliberate later decision, not something bundled in here.

Let's talk

Bring Voya to the admissions line.

Twenty minutes to see if a 30-day pilot fits one workflow, on one line, before the next admissions cycle.

Built by a current NYU student who kept seeing after-hours calls go unanswered, and figured out how to fix it.
